Time Zone

The earth is spherical in shape and it revolves round the sun, thus different countries have different time zones. A time zone can be described as a standard time, which has been adopted by all the countries situated all over the globe. It is also referred as a local time of that particular country. Most of the neighboring time zones are precisely one hour apart from each other. A standard time can be defined by dividing the spheroid of the earth into 24 lunes, which are bordered by meridians that are 150 in longitude. There are various types of time zones which are listed below.

GMT- It means Greenwich Mean Time, usually followed at London, in England.
WAT- It means West Africa Time and this time format is followed in most African countries.
AST- Also known as Atlantic Standard Time.
CST- It is known as Central Standard Time. It is followed in Mexico and Canada.

In addition to this there are various other time zones like PST, YST, NT, EST, AT and many more. With so many time zones followed it became awkward for someone to travel on a business trip to any other foreign country. Viewing such problem the idea of Standard Time emerged. This time zone is followed in each and every part of the world and thus helps in interacting with various parties situated in different countries without any problem. Thus one can say that Time Zone acts as a boon for all the businessmen, professionals and various other people.
